I am a Christ follower, a family man, and a discipler of young people.
I suppose I should add the caveat “in that order” but I think that should be obvious. All the hats I wear (other than the first) are comparable by their changeability. My world could be turned upside down tomorrow, ripping away the identities I hold close to my heart and with what would I be left? Christ.
Being firmly rooted in God’s family allows my single-minded devotion to His mission— the Great Commission.
I was studying biology at Morehead State University with plans to be a Physical Therapist when God changed my direction. My local Cru staff pointed me to God’s heart for the nations in every part of scripture and gave me an opportunity to go.
I began a career with Cru in 2014. Since then, I have had the opportunity to see college students won for Christ, built up in their faith, and sent out to have a mission of their own all over the world!
In 2018 I accepted role to lead a team at Morehead State University to reach students disconnected from Christ and train believers to reach the world.
Recently, God has been giving me more opportunities to love and lead my family. With the addition of Alice in 2019, Kelly and I have a renewed vision for God’s heart for generational discipleship.
Kelly has been on staff since 2015 and recently made the transition to wedding photography. Over the last few years she has grown Kelly Keene Photography into one of the premier photography businesses in Central KY being published in The Wed and Wezoree.
