Update: Cru Students set to Reach Morehead State with Gospel

There was a ton of energy during our annual Glow-in-the-Dark Frisbee event. Every student that attended the event filled out a survey. Over the next few weeks we will be mobilizing 15-20 upperclassmen students to engage these new students in Spiritual conversation. This is a great start to our semester!

Upperclassmen Students Came out for MSU freshmen move-in

Join me for a day at Morehead State University as I help freshmen move in and kickstart a new semester with Morehead State Cru. Witness the impact of upperclassmen who walked with Jesus over the summer, dive into vibrant campus ministry, and hear from student Gavin about his excitement for evangelism. Engaging, inspiring, and ready to fuel your faith journey.

Pray For campus event

Ninety college students locked arms with 30 members of our local community under the banner of mobilizing students to finish the Great Commission. It was an incredible opportunity to invite families and individuals on to our campus to better learn how to pray for campus. To my knowledge, this is the first event of it’s kind at MSU and I am so excited to do it again!

Hallmarks of Momentum

“Momentum represents the collective energy and alignment of four very specific factors:

1) Ignited by Vision

2) Activated by Faith

3) Supported by Systems

4) Sustained by Grit [The Holy Spirit]”

-Craig Groeschel

This week upperclassmen students involved with Cru at Morehead State considered these four factors of momentum. It was an encouraging exercise as we considered how to maintain the tremendous momentum we experienced last year.

Here’s what we concluded:

  • The VISION of launching spiritual movements all over the planet so everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus is compelling. For us, it starts at Morehead State and goes to every tribe, tongue, and nation.

  • We have FAITH that, in the power of the Holy Spirit, this vision is “imperative and possible”.

  • The SYSTEMS we have crafted that place upperclassmen who are trained in evangelism in front of students new to Morehead State will create a culture of active ministry.

  • Finally, GRIT that is sustained by the Holy Spirit will produce a dynamic community of individuals walking intimately with Jesus.
