Can God provide $34,400? Match is now live
Check out the bottom of this post for an update after a car ran through our house. We’re all good! I’m thankful for God and insurance.
Last week via email, I shared about my moment of anxiety on campus, a feeling rooted in the same question Makayla faced: Will God provide?
But it never gets deeper than the gospel. Just as God provided His Son, we know He delights to provide for the mission He’s called us to.
Today, I want to be open with you about the large need facing our family and ministry as we plan for 2026:
Our Critical Need for 2026: $34,400
To prepare for our growing family, we are facing our largest budget gap ever. This $34,400 goal is driven by two critical changes:
Health Insurance: Our premiums will increase by nearly $10,000 for the year with Baby Katherine on the way.
Full Support: We are actively working to move my Cru salary from 68% to full support to secure our family's long-term ministry ability. (My paycheck hasn't changed since 2016.) This spring Kelly and I will be trying to shore up our financial support from new partners but that will take time.
The $15,000 Matching Gift Opportunity
The great news is, God has already provided the answer! Four generous families have stepped forward with a $15,000 Matching Pledge to ensure we meet this need.
Every dollar you give this month will be doubled until the match is met, instantly securing $30,000 toward our goal.
This is the simplest way to MULTIPLY your impact on campus.
Three Ways You Can Double Your Investment (Must Act by December 31st):
Special Year-End Gift: Would you consider an investment of $1,000, $500, or another amount God puts on your heart? A $500 gift becomes $1,000for the ministry.
New Monthly Partnership: Launching a new monthly gift of $100 or more is multiplied and matched to become a $2,400 investment!
Increase Current Giving: Any increase to your existing monthly gift will also be multiplied and matched to grow our stable foundation.
Would you prayerfully consider making an investment today to help us meet this critical match and continue empowering students like Makayla to walk with Jesus?
Thank you for being the provision God uses to advance the Gospel.
Patrick and Kelly Keene
A few weeks ago I shared a post about trusting God through hard times. Life was tough— I had just had ankle surgery, kids are kids, and our new baby is due at Christmas. You never know when life will get a bit harder. However, we know that God uses it all for His good (Romans 8:28)
Around 4:40AM on December 12th I was sleeping on the couch in our living room due to my recovering ankle when a loud bang shook our whole house! A vehicle had put a hole in our house just a few feet from where I was sleeping and I’m thankful no one was hurt. I am so appreciative for the friends and family who jumped into action securing the integrity of our house and plugging the hole. As I type this, it is 12 degrees outside and 69 degrees in our house… praise God!
In the last picture, we decorated the “Christmas Structure” that our friends at the Fire Department installed to keep our roof from caving in.
Please pray for our family as we leverage this tough time to walk closer with Him.
